Burglary Near You

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Dawson Lane on Monday 5th October between 18:00hrs and 18:15hrs

the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry.

Four suspects have approached the rear of the property on two Surrons, three suspects jump the fence and snap the lock on the external door to the porch/storage area. Suspects are disturbed and leave

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between (date and above times) to check if you had any activations.

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock.

As a precaution, please check that your door locks are secure and correctly fitted. We recommend anti-snap locks with a 3 Star rating, certified to either TS007 or SS312 standards. These locks are available from many locksmiths and security providers.

Whilst we do not wish to alarm residents, it is always worthwhile reviewing your home security and reporting anything that seems suspicious. If you have any information regarding this or any other burglary, please contact us on 101.

Thank you for helping to keep our communities safe.
